Durch die Bewegungsabfolge von Messerblatt 8, Schneidamboß 11 und Stützfläche 12 wird gewährleistet, daß das Messerblatt 8 leicht in den Ballen 4 eindringen kann, weil der Tabak im Schnittkanal verdrängt wird und die Scheibe 7 während des Abtrennens und der anschließenden Abförderbewegung nach unten gestützt und geführt wird.

Nach jedem Trennschnitt des Messerblattes 8 wird der Kolben im Zylinder von Antrieb 22 entsprechend Pfeil 28 nach oben bewegt. Eine Kolbenstange 29 zieht einen Hebel 31 nach oben, so daß der Schneidamboß 11 um eine Achse 30 in die in Figur 9 gezeigte Form verschwenkt wird. In dieser Stellung, die in Figur 9 dargestellt ist, kann die nicht gezeigte vom Ballen 4 abgeschnittene Scheibe 7 auf das Abförderband 16 gelangen und zur Weiterverarbeitung abgefördert werden. Danach wird die Kolbenstange 29 entgegen der Pfeilrichtung 28 nach unten bewegt, so daß der Hebel 31 und der Schneidamboß 11 wieder in ihre in Figur 8 dargestellte Schneidstellung schwenken. Der Vorteil dieser Ausführungsform besteht darin, daß die abgeschnittenen Scheiben durch ihre eigene Schwerkraft vollständig und daher schnell auf das Abförderband 16 gelangen, das sie zur Weiterverarbeitung abfördert.
Nach der Abförderung wird der Teil 11b des Schneidambosses 11 durch den Hub der Kolbenstange 43 in umgekehrter Richtung wieder in seine Ausgangslage gebracht, in der ein weiterer Schnitt des Messerblattes 8 erfolgen kann.
Die bewegbare Stützfläche 12, die zwischen den Flacheisen 41 angeordnet ist, weist als Besonderheit eine untere Abbiegung 12a in Richtung auf die abzuschneidende Tabakscheibe auf.

Claims (10)

  1. A device for severing slices (7) from bales (4) preferably of pressed fibrous material such as tobacco by means of a vertically movable knife blade (8) which strikes against a cutting anvil (11) after the conclusion of a severing cut, characterized by a device (22, 23) for pivoting or displacing the cutting anvil (11) arranged substantially horizontally during a severing cut or parts thereof (11b) after each severing cut in order to remove the severed slice (7) from its severing position (A).
  2. A device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the cutting anvil (11) has a recess (11c) for the end of the knife blade (8).
  3. A device according to Claim 1 and/or 2, characterized by a pivoting device (22) which pivots the entire cutting anvil (11) downwards.
  4. A device according to Claim 1 and/or 2, characterized by a pivoting device (22) which pivots the cutting anvil (11) in part (11b).
