Abstract

The invention relates to a device making it possible to dry spread-out laundry, which can be folded after use and, if appropriate, serve in this position as an electric radiator. It consists of a hollow basic housing (1) containing a variable electric resistor and a fan which are controlled by a switch (i), making it possible to expel the air through front lateral slits (F), thus functioning as an electric radiator when the two front parts (2) are folded. When these parts (2), which are in the form of hollow doors of lesser width than the housing (1), are unfolded, the face (C) of their outer edges shuts off the slits (F), and the air, thus recovered, will be conveyed among the laundry spread out on the wires (G) by way of the orifices (O) located on the inner faces of (2). The device according to the invention is intended particularly for actively drying spread-out laundry. <IMAGE>

Description

The present invention relates to a foldable electric dryer, allowing to dry extended laundry and which can be used in the folded position, as an electric fan heater.

The electric clothes dryers currently on the market require space, even when not in use, and the laundry comes out crumpled.

The device which is the subject of this invention overcomes these drawbacks and also offers the possibility of use as an electric fan heater.

• 1- Une partie fundique , murale , en forme de boitier rectangulaire plat et creux (1) , présentant une fente verticale (F) , de chaque côté de la face antérieure et contient dans sa cavité un ventilateur et une résistance éléctrique variable permettant de régler la chaleur de l'air à la temperature désirée en fonction de la qualité du linge à sécher -fonction séche-linge- ou de la température de la pièce - fonction radiateur soufflant - à l'aide d'un interrupteur (i) .   L'air est envoyé par les deux fentes latérales (F) .
• 2- Deux parties antérieures pliables (2) , dans le plan horizontal - comme des portes - , figures 3 et 4 , vides , ouvertes à leurs bords externes dont le chant (C) vient obturer les fentes latérales (F), en position dépliée ,figures 5 et 6 . Elles présentent sur leurs faces internes , des orifices (O) ,permettant de chasser l'air ,déjà chauffé , et le faire circuler entre le linge éttendu . Figures 3 , 4 , 5 et 6 .
• 3- Une grille (G) de fils à linge - horizontaux - fixée sur la partie murale (1) , pouvant être dépliée et poser sur les parties (2) pour éttendre le linge. Figures 2 , 3 , 5 et 6 .

It comprises :

• 1- A fundic, wall part, in the form of a flat and hollow rectangular box (1), having a vertical slit (F), on each side of the anterior face and contains in its cavity a fan and a variable electrical resistance making it possible to adjust the heat of the air at the desired temperature depending on the quality of the laundry to be dried - dryer function - or the room temperature - fan heater function - using a switch (i).   Air is sent through the two side slots (F).
• 2- Two foldable anterior parts (2), in the horizontal plane - like doors -, Figures 3 and 4, empty, open at their outer edges, the edge (C) of which closes the lateral slots (F), in the unfolded position , Figures 5 and 6. They have on their internal faces, holes (O), allowing to expel the air, already heated, and to circulate it between the stretched linen. Figures 3, 4, 5 and 6.
• 3- A grid (G) of laundry threads - horizontal - fixed on the wall part (1), which can be unfolded and placed on the parts (2) to hang up the laundry. Figures 2, 3, 5 and 6.

This device can be made of light metallic material or heat resistant plastic. In different colors to be able to adapt it to the decor of the rooms where it will be installed, for example: studio, bathroom, dressing room, etc.

Claims (5)

Device for drying the laundry, which can be folded after use and possibly serve, in this position, as an electric fan heater characterized in that it comprises a fixed part (1), comprising in its cavity an electric resistance adjustable by a switch (i ) and a fan allowing the air, previously heated, to be sent through two anterolateral slits (F). This air is recovered, in the dryer position, by the edge (C) of the external edges of the two front parts (2) which are like hollow doors, opening in the horizontal plane and then it will be expelled by the orifices ( O) being on the anterior face of (2) to circulate between the linen extended on the grid (G) of the horizontal linen threads, which is fixed on (1) and unfolds for this use and is posed on (2) . Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the grid (G) of the laundry threads, or of the laundry threads, is in the vertical direction with orifices (O) on the front face of (2) or (1) . Device according to claim 1 or claim 2 characterized by a horizontal (upper or lower) slot (F) and a single front part (2), or more, opening in the vertical plane. Device according to claim 1, 2, or claim 3 characterized in that the outer edges of the front parts (2) are fitted with a seal. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it is produced for example from metallic, plastic material.
