Abstract

The invention relates to a ventilatable filter cigarette having three chambers (2, 4, 6), the chamber (2) at the tobacco rod end having a high pressure drop and a low tar retention owing to the fact that a core (12) of air-permeable cellulose acetate fibres is surrounded by a shell (14) of virtually air-impermeable cellulose acetate fibres. <IMAGE>
