Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a set of building blocks intended to be joined together one after the other for the realization of a cornice at the upper part of the walls of buildings.
Such a cornice is obviously intended to shelter the facing of a wall against rainwater. However, in addition to this, it is necessary to provide, at this same location, a gutter intended to collect the rainwater flowing from the roof. Furthermore, in most cases it is necessary to make a horizontal chaining at this location intended to ensure the cohesion of the corresponding wall. Nowadays, these various elements or equipment are produced independently, which increases the cost price of the constructions thus produced.
This is why the present invention aims to simplify the operations necessary for the realization of the various elements and equipment to be provided at the top of a wall.
To this end, the subject of the invention is a set of building blocks characterized in that these blocks, made of concrete or any other suitable material, each have two channels extending parallel to their external face forming a cornice, and the l 'one, close to this face, is likely to constitute a gutter for receiving rainwater flowing from the roof, while the other is intended to serve as lost formwork for the realization of a horizontal reinforced concrete chaining at the top of the corresponding wall.
Thus the use of such a building block makes it possible to considerably simplify the operations to be carried out at the upper part of a wall.
- FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a building block according to the invention,
- Figure 2 is a view, partly in section and partly in perspective, of a set of such blocks assembled at the top of a wall.
- Figure 3 is a vertical sectional view of the same assembly and adjoining parts of the corresponding wall and the roof carried by it.
- Figure 4 is a sectional view of a particular type of building block according to the invention.
The
As shown in Figure 2, the
After these operations, the
As is easily understood, the use of building blocks according to the invention considerably involves the operations to be carried out at the upper part of a wall to equip it with both a gutter and a cornice , and to make a horizontal chaining intended to ensure the cohesion of the corresponding wall. In addition, these building blocks allow a significant saving since the use of these removes a certain number of elements which until then were necessary. This therefore results in a significant reduction in the cost price of a building.
Of course the building blocks according to the invention are not limited to those shown simply by way of example in the accompanying drawings. Thus the shape of the reliefs of the face forming the cornice could be modified. Similarly, the shape of the section of
