Abstract

A package for goods to be packed in a foil pouch, where the pouch is fitted in a folding box made from a blank, especially for foil pouches holding 3 litres or more, is to be designed, by means of which it is possible to produce produce high-quality printing on larger-volume bag-in-box packages as well as to maintain adequate stability and ensure easy handling. Such is achieved in that, besides bottom flaps (7, 8) to form at least a double-thickness base, the folding box blank (1) is fitted with top flaps (11-14) to form a top region which is also at least doubled, in which there are apertures (19, 21-23) in the top flaps (12-14) to take a pourer (18) on the foil pouch and that, in the operative position, the side walls (3-6) of the box (2) are reinforced by an additional internal cardboard edging (15).

Description

The invention relates to packaging for goods to be packaged in a film bag, the film bag being accommodated in a folding box formed from a blank, in particular for film bags of 3 liters and more.

Such so-called "bag in box packaging" serve to hold liquids in different quantities. Such packaging is known for food, in particular drinks, but also for detergents, lubricants and the like. These packaging have the advantage that only the receiving bag for the goods to be packed has to be made of high-quality plastic material, while the other, in particular mechanical loads receiving other packaging parts can be picked up from an inexpensive cardboard box made of corrugated cardboard or the like. It is known to leave the closures in the interior of the cartons during the transport of such containers or to provide them as separate elements to the consumer, who must then attach them when in use.

With such packaging for larger quantities, such as for quantities of 5 and 10 liters, such as for wine already are known, comparatively large stabilities of the packaging boxes are necessary, which is usually ensured by packaging in corrugated cardboard. Such cardboard is particularly unsuitable for high-quality printing, for example in offset printing, which means that higher-value goods are not accepted by the consumer in packaging with such a poor quality presentation. However, in order to introduce consumers to such environmentally friendly packaging, they must be of optically high quality, they must meet the stability requirements, they must be easy to handle and the like.

The task of the earth connection is therefore to create a solution with which high-quality printing is just as possible as with maintaining large-volume so-called "bag in box packaging", as well as maintaining sufficient stability and ensuring easy handling.

This object is achieved in that the folding box blank is equipped in addition to bottom flaps to form an at least double-layer bottom with head flaps to form an at least double-layer head area, punched holes are provided in the top flaps for receiving a pouring element on the foil bag and that the side walls of the folding box in the position of use with an internal reinforcement frames are reinforced from another cardboard blank.

This embodiment of the invention makes it possible to form the folding box blank on the outside from a comparatively thin cardboard or from thin corrugated cardboard, which can thus be printed in the usual high quality, the at least double-layer design of the bottom and head area ensures sufficient stability as well as the additional Reinforced frame on the inside, which for example can be made from an inferior cardboard or cardboard material.

One of the possible embodiments of the invention is that a first head flap part positioned in the closed position towards the inside is provided with an approximately U-shaped punched-out area from the free front edge for inserting a pouring and closing element on the folding bag, the ones lying above in the use position Head flap parts are provided with punched-out sections which allow the passage of this closure element in the position of use.

Such a design makes it possible either to insert the closure element on the foil bag into the U-shaped punching at the factory and to position it during transportation and storage under the other head flap parts, but it also gives in same way, the consumer has the option, after opening the other head flap parts covering this, to insert a closure and pouring element housed inside the packaging, in order to then close the folding box again, the head flap parts then being placed over the pouring and closing element, so that this can pass through there.

An embodiment of the invention consists in that at least one further head flap part arranged above the bottom head flap part is equipped with a fixing flap which can be folded back in the closed position, the free front edge of which has the substantially U-shaped punching after insertion of the fastener and pouring element against the pull-out direction of this element locks or locks. It is thus possible with simple means to lock the closure and pouring element without displacement with the appropriately designed fixing tab.

In a further embodiment, the invention provides that, in the closed position, the punched-outs in the head flaps (12, 13 and 14) in the receiving area of the closed and pouring element (18) are aligned with one another at least in regions to form a three-layer wall area (FIG. 5).

With this design, it is possible to achieve a multi-layer wall thickness, particularly in the more heavily loaded area in which the pouring or urine element is fixed in the position of use.

To make it easier to insert this element, the invention also provides that at least the expression in the head flap part below is equipped with insertion bevels.

In a further configuration, the invention also provides that the insertion bevels are equipped with clamping lugs securing the pouring or closing element at least in some areas in the position of use. Thus, this head flap part snaps behind the pouring or closing element, which is particularly useful if this insertion is carried out at the factory. The user then only has to pull out the pouring and closing element through the corresponding recesses in the further head flap parts from the var pack and, if necessary, latch it by means of the locking tab, in order to obtain a ready-to-use packaging.

In order to facilitate the handling of screw closures or cock closures, the invention provides in an embodiment that the essentially U-shaped punched-out area is provided with side edges running essentially at right angles to one another, in other words the punched-out area can be square or rectangular. Correspondingly designed wall areas on the pouring or closing element can then correspond to these three connections, so that turning in the axial direction of the closing element is no longer possible when screwing, rather it is held against rotation by the head flap parts.

The invention also provides that at least one surface of the blank forming a side of the folding box is equipped with a substantially U-shaped punched-out area with at least one double crease line to form a handle, whereby, due to the reinforcement by the inner frame, the invention also provides that a corresponding punching is provided on the corresponding surface of this inner frame, the punching being opposite.

The generally designated 1 in FIG. 1 of a folding box 2 consists of cardboard surfaces separated from one another by embossing lines or cut edges, namely the side walls 3 to 6 and bottom flaps 7 and 8 with corresponding adhesive flaps 9, at least one side adhesive flap 10 and the top flaps 11 to 14.

In the interior of a folding box 2 of this type, a reinforcing frame is provided parallel and adjacent to the sides 3 to 6, which is generally designated 15 in FIG. 6 and can be glued via an adhesive flap 16. 7 shows a sectional drawing with the inner frame 15 inserted into one another in the folding box 2 in a simplified representation with the position of the adhesive layers 10 and 16.

In a folding box formed in this way and reinforced with an inner frame 15, a foil bag 17 is inserted in the position of use with a closure element generally designated 18, the specific design of which is not important here.

In order to be able to position the locking system 18 and to be able to fix it in the mounting position, the head flaps 11 to 14 are specially designed, which is described in more detail below.

First, the right-hand head flap 11 in FIG. 1 is kept comparatively short, followed by a large-area head flap 12 which corresponds in its outer contours to the total surface of the folding box 2. A head flap 14 is shown on the left outside, which likewise has essentially the same outer contours as the head flap 12. Between the head flaps 12 and 14 a head flap 13 is arranged which is shorter and, for the inventor dung essential, a middle approximately U-shaped punched 19 has with threading bevels 20 on both sides.

As indicated by a creasing or embossing line, the head flap 13 lies furthest inside in the position of use, above it the head flap 14 and subsequently the head flap 12. In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1, the three head flaps 12, 13 and 14 are connected to one another at the factory 4, while in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 4 the inside head flap 13b is only glued to the edge with the head flap 14b lying above. In any case, this results in a multi-layer wall area for receiving a closure or tap element 18.

The head flap 14 has an inner punching 21, while the head flap 12 has an inner, two-part punching surface, namely a smaller surface 22 and a larger surface 23, which are partially tearable from the head flap 12 by means of punch bridges, the surface 22 being complete can be removed while the partial surface 23 is pivotable about a crease line 24.

When the closure element 18 of the film bag 17 is positioned on the folding box 2, the closure element 18 is pushed into the recess 19, the bevels 20 facilitating the insertion. Corresponding, unspecified shoulders or rings on the closure 18 under and overlap the head flap 13 at least in regions. After the head flap 13 has been pivoted into the closed position, the head flap 11 can also be swung in. Now the head flap 14 is folded over, the punched area 21 is then flush with the punched area 19.

To open the box, the partial surface 22 in the head flap 12 is removed and the partial surface 23 is pivoted upward in such a way that the expression 19 on the head flap 13 is then exposed. Now the locking system can be lifted up and pushed in. By pivoting the partial surface 23, the now threaded closure system 18 can be locked, since the flap 23 is equipped with a front free edge 25, which then blocks the shape 19, which essentially encloses the closure system 18 on at least three sides, in such a way that the Locking system can be fixed.

In Fig. 2 head flaps 11a to 14a are shown, which are designed essentially rectangular in their essential features 19a to enable the locking system 18 to be inserted in a manner that prevents rotation.

Fig. 3 shows a punched 19b, on the free ends of which locking lugs 26 are provided, the area as the inserted locking system 18 can reach behind to fix it there during assembly, which in particular facilitates handling by end users.

In addition to the described crease lines and punched holes in the top flaps, the folding box blank 1 also has a further double-folded, approximately U-shaped punched hole 27 in a side wall, here page 6, which is used to form a carrying handle. Corresponding to the approximately U-shaped punched-out 27, which has a double creasing line 28, a further punched-out punched-out 29 with a somewhat longer lateral symmetry is provided in the frame 15, with somewhat longer lateral punched edges.

The mode of operation of these punched-outs is shown in FIGS. 8 to 10. If the consumer presses in the direction of arrow 30 on the punch 27 and thus also on the inside punch 29, these cardboard areas pivot in the manner shown in FIG. 9. The liquid in the film bag 17 usually allows such a pivoting. By turning the punch 17 around the double crease line 28, the latter can be pivoted so far that it completely surrounds the inner frame after the punch 29 has been swung away, the liquid in the packaging then holds this area in the position shown in FIG. 10 such that there is a three-layer enclosed grip edge. The punched-out 29 on the inner frame 15 can then pivot back into the closed position shown in FIG. 10 with full packaging due to the product internal pressure, the user can now intervene here at any time to handle the folding box 2 with its contents. Due to the lateral punched edges of the punched-out 29, the crease line 31, as can be seen from FIGS. 8-10, lies lower than the lower free edge of the punched-out 27, which serves both for easier pivoting and for forming a stop for the punched-out 29.

Of course, the described embodiment of the invention can be modified in many ways without departing from the basic idea. In this way, further configurations of the head flaps can also be provided.
