Abstract

Description

The present invention relates to a modularly buildable and expandable information carrier for attachment to a flat visible surface, a plurality of adjacent receiving shafts being provided for guiding and holding, for example, a complete set of the individual characters representing the information to be presented.

Information carriers of this type are used in particular to hold several individual elements of a piece of information to be arranged side by side, such as Individual digits of a price indication. The information carrier, possibly together next to and / or one above the other with a second or third information carrier of the same or comparable type, is for receiving detailed information about e.g. the award-winning goods, based on their origin, etc., are placed on a display wall, which is in turn raised, hung or otherwise visibly attached.

However, information carriers of the type according to the invention can be used much more generally and universally will. It is conceivable to apply such an information carrier to a shop window side and fill it with advertising material or the like; a further application is conceivable in connection with transport companies, it being possible, for example, to insert schedule extracts for special and / or preferred destinations in the individual receiving shafts. Examples of use in the domestic or operational organizational area are also conceivable, for example for recording reminder data and / or deadlines and appointments.

In principle, it can be assumed that information carriers of the generic type can always be used sensibly if - such as for price information - information composed of individual elements with respect to individual pieces of information is subject to change, or if - such as when used as an advertising medium - information in the material must be continuously supplemented or exchanged.

Price tags, advertising media, display arrangements and similar devices for receiving and providing information and information material are known in many ways. These are always complete units, such as price cassettes, brochure stands, display systems or the like, which are already used as intended in the form in which they are part of the commercial traffic; some of these known devices are already modular and can also be expanded in accordance with special applications, although in general the interfaces between the Expansion modules disrupt the uniform picture.

The task on which the present invention is based, however, is to provide an information carrier of the generic type which, to a certain extent, only enters the commercial market as a semi-finished product, but is therefore correspondingly cheap and can be attached and expanded as desired, in fact without any special measures the adjoining sides must be provided in order to achieve a homogeneous and pleasing appearance.

This object is achieved in that a grid body consisting of two cross struts and a plurality of longitudinal struts is provided, one of which, relative to the attachment to the visible surface, has a lower cross strut, a web in the basic plane of the grid body for support and connection on the visible surface and one of away from the base plane and in the direction of the upper cross strut directed step-shaped shoulder, the upper cross strut protrudes from the base plane of the lattice body, and the longitudinal struts are T-shaped, the free end of the central web lies in the base plane of the lattice body and the end face of the T-cross bar ends flush in the plane of the front of the step-like heel of the lower cross strut. This provides an information carrier that can be glued to any flat surface and that can be used as intended once it has received its rear wall through these surfaces.

In order, for example, to be able to hang individual information carriers into the receiving shafts mentioned, and to avoid that these information carriers stand up and bulge on the shoulder of the lower cross strut, a paragraph is also provided on the upper cross strut on which the information carrier is held. This is intended in particular for number blocks for price tags, the individual dials being connected to one another via a spring ring; the spring ring mentioned lies on the shoulder of the upper cross strut and the dials hang freely (claim 2).

The information carrier is designed in a simple manner as a plastic injection-molded part (claim 3), which on the one hand has the advantage that it can be produced in different colors and thus selected depending on the color of the visible surface, and on the other hand means that quasi endless Lattice bodies can be injected, from which information carriers of the desired current size can then be separated (claim 4).

Further details and features of the invention are the subject of the extended subclaims 5 to 9. In detail, these are details which are of particular importance in connection with the application of the information carrier to a visible surface.

The information carrier 2 itself is composed of two cross struts 4, 5 and a plurality of longitudinal struts, 6.1 ... 6.n + 1, which together form a lattice body.

The lower cross strut 4 of this lattice body lies over its entire length on the visible surface 1 and comprises a shoulder 7 protruding therefrom, which corresponds to the height of the receiving shafts and which optionally serves as a supporting edge for simply inserted information material.

The upper cross strut 5 of the lattice body is spaced from the visible surface 1, so that here an insertion slot is created for the information material to be inserted or hooked in. Connected to each other by ring springs for mounting or hanging Information blocks, such as number blocks for price displays, can be provided on the upper cross strut 5, a paragraph 8. This is designed so that the insertion slot remains free between it and the visible surface 1, and that it enters a viewing panel 9 which protrudes further from paragraph 8.

The longitudinal struts 6.1 ... 6.n run parallel to one another and form an orthogonal grid with the cross struts 4, 5. Section A-A of FIG. 2 shows the closed side of an information carrier 1. FIG. 4 shows an information carrier 2 fixed on a visible surface 1, this being shown according to section B-B according to FIG. 2. In the receiving shaft between the transverse webs of two adjacent longitudinal struts 6.1 ... 6.n and the visible surface 1, a block 13 of individual sheets connected via an annular spring 12 is suspended. The information carrier 2 is closed on its lower edge over the support side of the lower cross strut 4; on the upper cross strut 5, a support edge for the ring spring 12 of the block 13 is formed above the associated paragraph 8. This can thus hang freely and does not stand on the edge formed by the paragraph 7 of the lower cross strut 4. However, this edge serves as a support for loose sheet material.

With regard to the use for receiving and holding individual advertisements for a product label, it should also be pointed out that the receiving shafts 3.1 ... 3.n formed by the longitudinal struts 6.1 ... 6.n by means of additional transverse webs between the longitudinal struts 6.1 ... 6.n can be shared further.

With regard to the attachment or fixation of the information carrier 2 on a visible surface, in particular a plastic display panel, the following should be noted.

The simplest type of connection between the visible surface and the information carrier is an adhesive connection. However, this type of connection is unfavorable because it cannot be automated if information carriers of the type according to the invention are to be applied in series to separate plastic display boards.

In this case it has proven to be advantageous to fix the information carriers by means of ultrasonic welding. In order to be able to carry out this connection technique optimally, the information carriers along the free edges of the central webs of the T of the longitudinal struts and along the contact surface of the lower cross strut are provided with narrow projections for bundling the energy of the ultrasound radiation. These projections are indicated by the reference number 14 in section C-C in FIG. 2 and in FIG. 3.

Finally, it should also be noted that due to the design of the information carriers as injection molded plastic parts, a multitude of color combinations of the information carriers with one another and the information carriers in relation to the visible surfaces is possible.

A particular embodiment of the information carriers described above with regard to their use for application to a flat visible surface consists in these elements, which are manufactured as injection molded plastic parts - at the manufacturer - on thin rear walls, for. B. apply foils, for example by means of ultrasonic welding, which in turn are self-adhesive on the back. This makes the information carriers even more user-friendly, since they can be glued directly onto the visible surfaces mentioned without additional measures or aids.
