Claims (28)

1. Sammensætning omfattende - pindsvineformede partikler, - mindst et bindemiddel, og - mindst et hydrofobiseringsmiddel og/eller mindst et hydrofiliseringsmiddel, hvor de pindsvineformede partikler består af et materiale valgt fra calciumkarbonat-indeholdende materiale, satin white og blandinger deraf.
2. Sammensætningen ifølge krav 1, kendetegnet ved at bindemidlet fungerer som det mindst ene hydrofobiseringsmiddel og/eller mindst ene hydrofiliseringsmiddel.
3. Sammensætningen ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 eller 2, kendetegnet ved at det calciumkarbonat-indeholdende materiale er valgt fra præcipiteret calciumkarbonat, naturligt calciumkarbonat-indeholdende materiale og blandinger deraf.
4. Sammensætningen ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, kendetegnet ved at de pindsvineformede partikler består af et materiale omfattende aragonitisk, calcitisk, vateritisk præcipiteret calciumkarbonat, eller blandinger deraf.
5. Sammensætningen ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, kendetegnet ved at de pindsvineformede partikler består af et materiale omfattende klynger og/eller aggregater af scalenohedrisk eller ortorombisk-dipyramidal præcipiteret calciumkarbonat krystaller.
6. Sammensætningen ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, kendetegnet ved at de pindsvineformede partikler har et BET specifikt overfladeareal på fra 1 til 50 m2/g, fortrinsvis 2 til 40 m2/g, mere fortrinsvis 11 til 35 m2/g, mest fortrinsvis 15 til 20 m2/g, målt under anvendelse af nitrogen og BET-fremgangsmåden ifølge ISO 9277.
7. Sammensætningen ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, kendetegnet ved at de pindsvineformede partikler har en massemedian partikeldiameter dso på fra 1 pm til 50 pm, fortrinsvis 2 pm til 40 pm, mere fortrinsvis 3 pm til 30 pm.

Sammensætningen ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, kendetegnet ved at hydrofobiseringsmidlet er valgt fra gruppen omfattende fedtsyrer, såsom stearinsyre, palmitinsyre, og deres salte; alkylketen-dimer; polyakrylamidresiner; silikoneresiner, polysiloxaner, fortrinsvis polysiloxan modificeret med funktionel silikone resin, og blandinger deraf.
9. Sammensætningen ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, kendetegnet ved at hydrofiliseringsmidlet er valgt fra gruppen omfattende polyakrylsyrer, salte af l-hydroxyethan-l,l-diphosphonsyre, fortrinsvis alkali metalsalte deraf, mere fortrinsvis kaliumsalte deraf; og kelater af 1-hydroxyethan-l,l-diphosphonsyre, fortrinsvis aluminiumhydroxidkelater deraf, mere fortrinsvis aluminiumhydroxid / l-hydroxyethan-l,l-diphosphonsyrekelater med et vægtforhold på 1:5, og blandinger deraf.

Sammensætningen ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, kendetegnet ved at det mindst ene hydrofobiseringsmiddel, eller mindst ene hydrofiliseringsmiddel, eller blanding deraf er til stede i en mængde på fra 0,1 til 10 vægtprocent, fortrinsvis 0,2 til 5 vægtprocent, mere fortrinsvis 0,3 til 2,4 vægtprocent, mest fortrinsvis 0,4 til 1,9 vægtprocent, især 0,5 til 1,5 vægtprocent, baseret på vægten af de pindsvineformede partikler.

Sammensætningen ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, kendetegnet ved at bindemidlet er valgt fra gruppen omfattende latexbindemidler, hybrid bindemiddelsystemer, fortrinsvis homopolymerer eller copolymerer af akryl- og/eller methakrylsyrer, itakonsyre; og syreestere, såsom eksempelvis ethylakrylat, butylakrylat; styren, ikke-substitueret eller substitueret vinylchlorid, vinylacetat, ethylen, butadien, akrylamider og akrylonitriler; silikoneresiner, vandfortyndbare alkydresiner, akryl-/alkyd-resin kombinationer, polyvinylalkohol, naturlige olier, fortrinsvis linolie, og blandinger deraf

Sammensætningen ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, kendetegnet ved at bindemidlet er til stede i en mængde på op til 250 vægtprocent, fortrinsvis op til 200 vægtprocent, mere fortrinsvis op til 150 vægtprocent, mest fortrinsvis op til 120 vægtprocent, og især fortrinsvis er til stede i en mængde på fra 1 til 50 vægtprocent, fortrinsvis fra 3 til 25 vægtprocent, mere fortrinsvis fra 5 til 20 vægtprocent, især fortrinsvis fra 10 til 15 vægtprocent, baseret på vægten af de pindsvineformede partikler.
13. Sammensætningen ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, kendetegnet ved at de pindsvineformede partikler er kombineret med det mindst ene hydrofobiseringsmiddel og/eller mindst ene hydrofiliseringsmiddel, og det mindst ene bindemiddel.
14. Sammensætningen ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, kendetegnet ved at de pindsvineformede partikler er forbehandlede med det mindst ene hydrofobiseringsmiddel og/eller mindst ene hydrofiliseringsmiddel, og det mindst ene bindemiddel tilsættes til de pindsvineformede partikler forbehandlet med mindst et hydrofobiseringsmiddel og/eller mindst et hydrofiliseringsmiddel, eller blandinger deraf.
15. Sammensætningen ifølge krav 14, kendetegnet ved at yderligere mindst et hydrofobiseringsmiddel og/eller mindst et hydrofiliseringsmiddel, som kan være det samme som eller forskelligt fra midlet anvendt i forbehandlingen, endvidere tilsættes.
16. Sammensætningen ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 13, kendetegnet ved at de pindsvineformede partikler først blandes med bindemidlet og efterfølgende kombineres med det mindst ene hydrofobiseringsmiddel og/eller mindst ene hydrofiliseringsmiddel.

18. Sammensætningen ifølge krav 17, kendetegnet ved at den er tilvejebragt i formen af en opløsning eller dispersion i et egnet væskemedie, fortrinsvis et medie valgt fra gruppen omfattende vand, alkoholætere, alkoholer, alifatiske carbonhydrider, estere, og blandinger deraf.
19. Sammensætningen ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 17 eller 18, kendetegnet ved at den yderligere omfatter additiver såsom dispergeringsmidler, silikoniseringsmidler, fortykningsmidler, rheologimodifikatorer, antibundfældningsmidler, antiskummidler, antioxidanter, blåtonemidler, overfladeaktive stoffer, tværforbindelsesmidler, flammehæmmere, katalysatorer, pH-buffere, fyldstoffer, farvestoffer, pigmenter, optiske lysningsmidler, vokse, sammenflydningsmidler, biocider og blandinger deraf.
20. Fremgangsmåde til at styre fugtningsevnen af substratoverflader ved at overtrække substratet med en sammensætning ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 19.
21. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 20, kendetegnet ved at substratet overtrækkes med en coating-formulering af sammensætningen omfattende de pindsvineformede partikler, det mindst ene bindemiddel, og det mindst ene hydrofobiseringsmiddel og/eller mindst ene hydrofiliseringsmiddel.
22. Fremgangsmåden ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 20 eller 21, kendetegnet ved at substratet overtrækkes med en coating-formulering af sammensætningen omfattende de pindsvineformede partikler der er forbehandlede med det mindst ene hydrofobiseringsmiddel og/eller mindst ene hydrofiliseringsmiddel og blandet med det mindst ene bindemiddel, hvor, eventuelt, yderligere mindst et hydrofobiseringsmiddel og/eller mindst et hydrofiliseringsmiddel, som kan være det samme som eller forskelligt fra midlet anvendt i forbehandlingen, endvidere kan tilsættes, før coating-formuleringen påføres substratet.
23. Fremgangsmåden ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 20 eller 21, kendetegnet ved at substratet overtrækkes med en coating-formulering af sammensætningen omfattende de pindsvineformede partikler og det mindst ene bindemiddel først, og efterfølgende med et eller flere efter-lag af det mindst ene hydrofobiseringsmiddel og/eller mindst ene hydrofiliseringsmiddel ovenpå coatingen af pindsvineformede partikler og bindemiddel.
24. Fremgangsmåden ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 20 til 23, kendetegnet ved at substratet endvidere overtrækkes med et eller flere efter-lag af mindst et hydrofobiseringsmiddel og/eller mindst et hydrofiliseringsmiddel.
25. Fremgangsmåden ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 20 til 24, kendetegnet ved at substratet endvidere overtrækkes med et eller flere efter-lag af yderligere ingredienser og additiver, fortrinsvis materialer valgt fra gruppen omfattende resiner, silikoner, tetrafluor-forbindelser.
26. Fremgangsmåden ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 20 til 25, kendetegnet ved at substratet vælges fra gruppen omfattende papir, pap, tapet, træ, trækompositter såsom spånplade, plast, folie, beton, betrukket eller ikke-betrukket puds, gips, metaller, keramik, sten, mursten og glas.
27. Anvendelse af en sammensætning ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 19 som en coating-formulering.
28. Materiale omfattende en sammensætning ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 19, hvor materialet fortrinsvis er valgt fra gruppen omfattende papir, pap, tapet, træ, trækompositter såsom spånplade, plast, folie, beton, betrukket eller ikke-betrukket puds, gips, metaller, keramik, sten, mursten og glas.
