Description
Die Erfindimg betrifft din Ruder mit an beiden Seiten der Ruderfläche angeordneten drehbaren Bremsflächen, die durch Verschwenken der Ruderpinne in der Vertikalebene in Wirkungsstellung zu bringen sind. Bei den bekannten Rudern dieser Art sind die Bremsflächen, um horizontale Achsen drehbar, ähnlich wie Tiefenruder ausgebildet. Hiermit ist jedoch der Nachteil verbunden, daß außer einer Bremswirkung auch eine Trimmänderung des Fahrzeuges eintritt.The invention relates to the rudder with arranged on both sides of the rudder surface rotatable braking surfaces, which by pivoting the tiller handle in the vertical plane are to be brought into action. Erfindungsgemäß wird dieser Nachteil dadurch vermieden, daß die Bremsflächen als um senkrechte Achsen drehbare Balanoeruder ausgebildet sind. An sich sind Ruder mit um vertikale Achsen drehbaren Bremsflächen bereits bekannt. Letztere sind jedoch nicht als Balanceruder ausgebildet und benötigen daher zu 'einer Bremswirkung 'einen größeren Kraftaufwand. Außerdem bilden die bekannten Bremsflächen in geschlossenem Zustand die Ruderfläche, so daß hei Bremsung mit gelegtem Ruder nicht mit voller Sicherheit die der Ruderlage entsprechende Kursrichtung eingehalten werden kann.According to the invention, this disadvantage is avoided in that the braking surfaces as Balano rudders that can be rotated about vertical axes are formed.
