Dazu ist es nicht notwendig, daß die zugeführte Preßluft das Rohr durchströmen kann. Die Reaktionstemperatur liegt bei ca. 500-1000 Grad Celsius, teilweise höher. Die Temperatur ist leicht über die Zugabe der Preßluft zu steuern und die Reaktion bricht ab, wenn die Preßluftzufuhr unterbrochen wird. Bei der Anwendung des Verfahrens ist darauf zu achten, daß das andere Ende des Rohres absolut dicht schließt, da es sonst zu einem Druchbrennen und einer 2-3 Meter langen Stichflamme kommen kann. Das Verfahren wurde von mir mit Erfolg bei einer Eisenbahnlokomotive angewandt, deren Auspuffanlage incl. Kollektoren, 2 Auspufftöpfen und Abgasrohren (ca. 3 Kubikmeter Rauminhalt) innerhalb von 5 Minuten rückstandsfrei ausgebrannt war. Dadurch ist es möglich, auch sehr hohe Temperaturen zu erreichen, die zur Verbrennung von z.
