Das sog. MPEG-Komressionsformat hat sich weltweit als Standart durchgesetzt. Dabei handelt es sich um ein Format,mit dem Audiodaten, die beispielsweise von einer Musik-CD stammen, sehr stark komprimiert werden,ohne daß man einen hörbaren Verlust an Qualität in Kauf nehmen muß. Durch die schnell fortschreitende Verbreitung des Formates und dessen wachsende Akzeptanz in Industrie und Presselandschaft drängen mehr und mehr tragbare Abspielgeräte für MPEG-Audiodaten auf den Markt.The so-called MPEG compression format has become the standard worldwide. Beide Fälle setzten eine Computeranlage und fundiertes Wissen voraus. Dadurch beschränkt sich die Gruppe der Benutzer derartiger Abspielgeräte auf vergleichsweise wenige Personen. Gerät zur Lagerung, Bereitstellung und für den Verkauf von MPEG-komprimierten Audio-Daten dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß 1. das Gerät zur Lagerung, Bereitstellung und für den Verkauf von MPEG-komprimierten Audio- Daten aus einer Kombination von Personal Computer (3) mit angeschlossener Festplatte und einem drucksensitiven Monitor (Touchscreen) besteht, 2. die einzelnen Komponenten des Gerätes in ein gemeinsames Gehäuse (1) eingebaut sind, 3. auf die Festplatte des Gerätes MPEG-komprimierte Audio-Daten aufgespielt werden, die vom Benutzter/Kunden gegen die Zahlung einer Gebühr auf ein tragbares Abspielgerät geladen werden können, 4. das Gerät über eine Schnittstelle verfügt, die der Verbindung mit einem tragbaren Abspielgerät dient.
