Es besteht also eine feste Beziehung beispielsweise zwischen einem in der lokalen Datenbank gespeicherten Audiotrack und einem Barcode, so daß der Audiotrack, der jeweils probegehört werden soll, mittels der Trackverwaltungsapplikation eindeutig identifizierbar ist. Denkbar ist es auch, daß sich ein Kunde einen einem bestimmten Informationsträger zugeordneten Barcode, der von einem an die lokale Datenbank angeschlossenen Barcodedrucker ausgedruckt werden kann, an der Kasse aushändigen läßt und dann an einem Barcode-Lesegerät einliest. Der Barcode muß also nicht zwangsläufig auf der jeweiligen Informationsträgerverpackung (z.B.
