Linking element for jewelry chains

Common rows of jewelry objects (e.g. pearls, spheres, cylinders or polyhedra made of synthetic or natural materials) consist of jewelry objects that are pierced and strung or attached to a linking element by a holding device.

For this purpose, the jewelry objects must be pierced or provided with a corresponding setting. The jewelry objects do not form a unit with the technical chain and are presented as "appendages". The technical function as a chain stands on its own and is guaranteed even without jewelry objects - a cord functions as a "technical chain" even without threaded beads; chained jewelry settings also form a technical chain without set jewelry objects.

The invention specified in claim 1 involves the problem of creating a linking element for jewelry chains that makes it possible to link jewelry objects without having to prepare them specifically for this purpose, whereby the jewelry objects simultaneously function as a technical link between the linking elements and thus the technical and aesthetic chain form a unit.

This problem is solved with the features listed in claim 1

The invention enables a new, simple construction of jewelry chains from an alternating sequence of jewelry objects and linking elements. In addition to their aesthetic function, the jewelry objects also have a practical function as a connecting link and joint element within the chain. The jewelry objects no longer have to be drilled or prepared in any other way for linking. With a suitable combination of fork leg recess and jewelry object, the jewelry object and linking element form a joint connection that ensures the mobility of the chain.

An advantageous embodiment of the invention is defined in claim 2.

The springy fork leg enables easy assembly of the chain through the spring-loaded, positive-locking connection of the jewelry object and the linking element and can be used to open and close the chain at the same time. It also enables the chain circumference to be easily shortened or lengthened by removing or inserting modules from the jewelry object and linking element. The user thus has the option of linking jewelry objects and linking elements in any combination and length and of building necklaces, bracelets, pins or finger jewelry from the elements.

A further advantageous embodiment of the invention is defined in claim 3.

Holding devices connected by a joint increase the mobility of a chain consisting of linking elements and decorative objects.

An additional advantageous embodiment of the invention is defined in claim 4.

The combination of linking elements and decorative objects with different formal designs and/or different materials creates a great deal of design freedom for the user.
