Abstract

Un dispositivo restrictor de flujo en aneurismas cerebrales y conjunto posicionador-liberador del mismo, en donde el dispositivo comprende un cuerpo de material laminar expandible radialmente, que consiste en una sucesión de brazos interconectados entre sí por medio de puentes de unión entre los que se definen celdas, que son aberturas pasantes a través del cuerpo, presentando dicho cuerpo una zona general periférica de alta porosidad donde las celdas son las de mayor tamaño, una zona intermedia de mediana porosidad, rodeada por dicha zona general periférica de alta porosidad, y en donde las celdas tienen un tamaño intermedio, y una zona central de baja porosidad, rodeada por dicha zona intermedia de mediana porosidad, y en donde las celdas tienen el tamaño menor, de manera que el dispositivo puede implantarse en el cuello del aneurisma para restringir el influjo hacia el mismo sin obstaculizar el flujo sanguíneo normal en el vaso principal y vasos adyacentes donde se instala el dispositivo.
