Abstract

Un método para la reducción de materiales que contiene óxido de hierro es un reactor, con el fin de obtener un producto de calcinado con bajo contenido de carbono, CARACTERIZADO PORQUE el método comprende los siguientes pasos: inyección de un gas oxidante dentro de una cámara del reactor, y alimentación del material con contenido de óxido de hierro y agente reductor; mantenimiento de una temperatura por dentro de la cámara suficientemente alta para lograr la combustión parcial del agente reductor, con el fin de lograr una atmósfera reductora para convertir el Fe2O3 en FeO; y recuperación del producto calcinado reducido.
