In some technical solutions, as shown in Figure 1B, Figure 1B is a flow chart of a method of "implementing positioning through user plane connection between 5GCN and the terminal" provided by an embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in Figure 1B, the Methods can include the following steps:

(User Equipment,UE)。1. The terminal sends an uplink non-access stratum (UL NAS TRANSPORT) message to the Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF). The UL NAS TRANSPORT message is used to request Start user plane (UP) positioning (Positioning). The above terminal may also be called user equipment (User Equipment, UE).

LMF。2.AMF selects the LMF used for positioning.

3.AMF向选择的LMF发送Nlmf_Location_UPConfig请求。3.AMF sends Nlmf_Location_UPConfig request to the selected LMF.

4.LMF向AMF发送Namf_Communication_N1N2MessageTransfer消息,该消息中可以包括用户面信息(User Plane Information)。4. LMF sends the Namf_Communication_N1N2MessageTransfer message to AMF, which may include user plane information (User Plane Information).

5. The AMF sends a downlink non-access stratum (DLNAS TRANSPORT) message to the terminal. The DL NAS TRANSPORT message includes the user plane information of the LMF that provides the positioning service.

6. The terminal discovers the LMF through domain name server (DNS) analysis based on the user plane information of the LMF, and establishes a secure UP connection with the discovered LMF.

7.LMF向AMF发送Nlmf_Location_UPConfig响应。7. LMF sends Nlmf_Location_UPConfig response to AMF.

8. LMF stores the Location Service (LCS) UP connection context.

9. Implement positioning services via user plane connections.

It can be seen from the above method that the LMF will act as an application server in the user plane positioning process to achieve positioning. Optionally, the LMF will perform the above step 2 to select the AMF, and the AMF will send the user related to the selected LMF to the terminal. face information. Optionally, the terminal will perform the above step 6 to discover the LMF through DNS resolution based on the user plane information, and establish a user plane connection with the discovered LMF. It can be seen from this that in the above-mentioned method of "positioning through user plane connection between 5GCN and terminals", the AMF and the terminal will use two different logics to determine the LMF, which may lead to misalignment. For example, the LMF selected by the AMF may be different from the LMF resolved by the terminal through DNS, which may lead to errors in positioning. Therefore, the method of "locating through the user plane connection between 5GCN and the terminal" does not transmit data through the user plane. There will be the above-mentioned defects. In addition, because LMF does not support perception processing, this method cannot be used to provide perception services.

Therefore, a method for providing sensing services through user plane connections is urgently needed.

FIG. 2A is an interactive schematic diagram of a user plane connection establishment method according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in Figure 2A, the embodiment of the present disclosure relates to a user plane connection establishment method, which is used in the communication system 100. The above method includes:

Step 2101: The terminal sends a session establishment request to the first network element.

In some embodiments, the session establishment request may be used to request the establishment of a Protocol Data Unit (PDU) session of the first service. For example, the session establishment request may be, for example, a PDU Session Establishment request (PDU Session Establishment Request), optionally, this PDU session can be used for the first service. Optionally, the first service may be any service. For example, the first service may be a sensing service, or other services other than the sensing service, which is not limited in this disclosure.

当终端通过第六网元发送该会话建立请求时,终端可以先向第六网元发送会话建立请求,之后,第六网元可以调用Nsmf_PDUSession_CreateSMContext Request service(Nsmf_PDU会话建立上下文请求服务)来向第一网元发送该会话建立请求。需要说明的是,当第六网元调用了Nsmf_PDUSession_CreateSMContext Request service向第一网元发送该会话建立请求后,该第一网元可以调用Nsmf_PDUSession_CreateSMContext Responseservice(Nsmf_PDU会话建立上下文响应服务)来向第六网元响应上述的Nsmf_PDUSession_CreateSMContext Request service,例如,可以是当第一网元决定基于该会话建立请求进行后续处理,向第六网元调用Nsmf_PDUSession_CreateSMContext Response service。In some embodiments, the terminal may send the session establishment request to the first network element, and the first network element may receive the session establishment request. The first network element is used to provide session management functions. For example, the first network element can be an SMF. When the terminal sends the session establishment request through the sixth network element, the terminal may first send the session establishment request to the sixth network element, and then the sixth network element may call the Nsmf_PDUSession_CreateSMContext Request service (Nsmf_PDU session establishment context request service) to the first The network element sends the session establishment request. It should be noted that when the sixth network element calls the Nsmf_PDUSession_CreateSMContext Request service to send the session establishment request to the first network element, the first network element can call the Nsmf_PDUSession_CreateSMContext Response service (Nsmf_PDU session establishment context response service) to send the session establishment request to the sixth network element. In response to the above Nsmf_PDUSession_CreateSMContext Request service, for example, when the first network element decides to perform subsequent processing based on the session establishment request, it calls the Nsmf_PDUSession_CreateSMContext Response service to the sixth network element.

In this case, the DNN/S-NSSAI in the session establishment request is the corresponding data of the first service pair deployed. network.

In some embodiments, the session establishment request may be sent by the terminal when the terminal needs to establish a user plane connection with the second network element to implement the first service. In some embodiments, the first network element may query the terminal's subscription data from the third network element based on the terminal identifier.

SF ID。In some embodiments, the subscription data may include at least one of a first indication and a network element identifier of the target second network element. The following is an exemplary introduction to the above methods.

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method for supporting sensing services through the user plane, including:

NF。- A PDU session for the awareness service is established and the SMF selects a NF that supports the awareness function (SF).

- Establish user plane connection between UE and SF.

Sensing information is exchanged between UE and SF.

Assume that the NF supporting the sensing function in 5GC is SF, and the sensing service is initiated by the UE. Sensing information processing can be completed in the UE or SF. The sensing information may be collected by the SF from the RAN or the UE, or the sensing information may be collected by the UE from other UEs or objects or the RAN. Aware services can be triggered by UE or network or AF.

In this embodiment, dedicated DNN/S-NSSAI is deployed for sensing services.

Figure 5B is a schematic flowchart of a user plane connection establishment method according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in Figure 5B, the method may include the following steps:

0. The sensing service is triggered by the UE/CN/AF. The UE determines or obtains an indication from the CN or application indicating that data exchange needs to be carried out between the UE and the SF through the user plane or that a session needs to be established between the UE and the SF for data exchange. Among them, step 0 is not shown in Figure 5B.

1. The UE initiates a PDU Session Establishment Request (PDU SessionEstablishment Request) to the DNN/S-NSSAI dedicated to sensing services. This request can be configured locally or through URSP rules.

2、AMF调用Nsmf_PDU Session_CreateSMContext请求服务向smf发送PDU会话建立请求。2. AMF calls the Nsmf_PDU Session_CreateSMContext request service to send a PDU session establishment request to smf.

3、SMF调用Nsmf_PDU session_CreateSMContext响应服务。3. SMF calls Nsmf_PDU session_CreateSMContext response service.

SF ID(The SMF retrieves Session ManagementSubscription data for corresponding SUPI,DNN and S-NSSAI if it is notavailable. The SF selection information may be included in the Subscriptiondata, the SF selection information can be the indication that SF is required,and/or the SF ID)。4. SMF retrieves its session management subscription data. The SF selection information may be included in the subscription data. The SF selection information may be an indication that SF is required, and/or SF ID (The SMF retrieves Session ManagementSubscription data for corresponding SUPI, DNN and S-NSSAI if it is notavailable. The SF selection information may be included in the Subscriptiondata, the SF selection information can be the indication that SF is required, and/or the SF ID).

5. The SMF determines the user plane connection required to the SF based on the policy defined for the sensing service, such as the policy for the UE to access the DNN/S-NSSAI corresponding to the sensing service and/or the subscription data received in step 3.

6. The SMF determines the SF via the NRF or based on the subscription data received in step 3. If the SF is determined through NRF, then the SF should be registered with NRF and SMF calls the Nnrf_NFDiscovery service for SF discovery.

SF。7. N4 session is established/modified to establish user plane connection within 5GC for connecting SF through user plane.

(PDUSession Establishment Accept)。8. The SMF sends the PDU Session Establishment Accept (PDUSession Establishment Accept) with the SF information determined in step 6 to the UE via the AMF.

9. The user plane connection establishment between the UE and the SF is completed, including other steps in the existing PDU session establishment process.

10、UE和SF之间通过用户面交换的带有感知参数的感知服务请求。该感知参数可以为前述的感知数据;10. Sensing service requests with sensing parameters exchanged between UE and SF through the user plane. The sensing parameter can be the aforementioned sensing data;

11. The SF collects sensing information from the RAN, and the sensing information can be the aforementioned sensing data.

SF。12. If the sensing information is processed in the SF, after processing the sensing information, the output of the sensing service is delivered to the UE, otherwise, the sensing information can be sent to the UE. If the UE collects sensing information, the sensing information is sent from the UE to the SF if necessary.
