Abstract
La présente invention concerne un système et un procédé pour détecter une réaction physique, chimique ou biochimique. Le système de la présente invention comprend une source de rayonnement cohérent servant à produire une onde incidente (21), une surface porteuse (AB) pour supporter un échantillon à analyser, la surface porteuse étant montée sur un substrat et étant capable de supporter les ondes électromagnétiques en surface (SEW), un moyen pour diviser l'onde incidente en une SEW et une première onde diffusée (25), ladite SEW se propageant le long de la surface porteuse et interagissant avec l'échantillon, un moyen pour générer une deuxième onde diffusée (27) à partir de la SEW et un détecteur pour surveiller l'interférence entre la première onde diffusée et la deuxième onde diffusée. L'invention concerne aussi des surfaces porteuses utilisées dans le système. Une puce de support, selon cette invention, comprend un substrat diélectrique et un film conducteur formé à la surface du substrat et conçu pour supporter l'échantillon, le film conducteur comprenant un premier moyen pour diviser une onde incidente en une première onde diffusée et une onde électromagnétiques en surface (SEW), la SEW se propageant le long de la surface porteuse et interagissant avec l'échantillon ainsi qu'un deuxième moyen pour générer une deuxième onde diffusée à partir de la SEW.
