Abstract

Applicateur conçu pour introduire un matériau dans une cavité corporelle. Cet applicateur convient notamment à l'introduction d'un tampon cataménial dans le vagin. Ledit applicateur comprend un élément tubulaire formé d'au moins une couche de papier à face externe. Cet élément tubulaire peut contenir la substance à introduire. La face externe de l'élément tubulaire est revêtue d'un revêtement compostable dont au moins 98 % en poids est en matière polymère. Ce revêtement confère à l'élément tubulaire un coefficient de frottement dynamique à sec compris entre 0,62 et 0,86 environ, et un coefficient de frottement dynamique à l'état humide compris entre 0,69 et 1,12 environ. Ces faibles valeurs du coefficient de frottement dynamique à sec et à l'état humide facilitent l'introduction de l'applicateur dans la cavité corporelle. On décrit également un appareil pour le revêtement d'une bande de papier, et un procédé de formation d'un applicateur en papier à revêtement compostable.
