Abstract
LIXIVIAçãO SIMULTANEA OU CONSECUTIVA DE MINéRIOS CONTENDO COBALTO E NìQUEL. Processo para a recuperação de níquel e cobalto de minérios contendo níquel e cobalto, incluindo as etapas de primeiro lixiviar um minério de lateríta e/ou um minério de sulfeto parcialmente oxidado com uma solução de ácido produzir uma solução de lixiviação fértil contendo pelo menos íons de níquel, cobalto e férricos dissolvidos, e subseqúentemente líxíviar um concentrado ou minério de sulfeto com a solução de lixiviação fértil para produzir um líquido de produto. Desta maneira, o minério de lateríta e/ou minério de sulfeto parcialmente oxidado pode ser lixivíado em uma lixiviação combinada com o concentrado ou minério de sulfeto. O teor de íon férrico na solução de lixiviação fértil ou na lixiviação combinada é suficiente para manter o potencial de redução e oxidação na lixiviação de sulfeto alto o suficiente para ajudar na lixiviação do níquel a partir do concentrado ou minério de sulfeto.
