Abstract

SISTEMA E MéTODO PARA INSTALAçãO DE COBERTURA DE PISO. A invenção refere-se a conectores para juntar unidades de cobertura de piso modulares adjacentes. Os conectores incluem um filme e uma camada de adesivo revestida sobre um lado do filme. Para instalar as placas utilizando os conectores, uma primeira placa é colocada sobre o piso e um conector é posicionado de modo que a camada de adesivo faceie para cima e não contacte o piso. O conector é tipicamente posicionado de modo que somente uma porção da camada de adesivo adere no lado inferior da placa, deixando o restante do conector estendendo-se do lado inferior da placa. As placas são então posicionadas adjacentes á primeira placa de modo que uma porção do conector adira nas placas adjacentes. Deste modo, os conectores abrangem as bordas de placa adjacentes. As placas são montadas sobre uma superfície de piso subjacente sem a necessidade de prendê-las na superfície de piso. Ao contrário, as placas são ligadas umas nas outras com os conectores, de modo que as placas criam uma cobertura de piso que "flutua" sobre a superfície do piso subjacente.
