Abstract
PROCESSO CONTìNUO PARA O PRé-TRATAMENTO DE UMA CARGA DE ALIMENTAçãO LIGNOCELULóSICA. A presente invenção é dirigida a um processo contínuo para o pré-tratamento de uma carga de alimentação lignocelulósica. é provida uma suspensão de carga de alimentação, que possui uma concentração de sólidos de 10% a 30%, em peso. A suspensão da carga de alimentação é bombeada através de um trem de aquecimento de pelo menos dois estágios, cada estágio incluindo uma bomba para aumentar a pressão do estágio e uma injeção de vapor direta para aquecer a suspensão de carga de alimentação. O ácido é também adicionado à suspensão da carga de alimentação antes do trem de aquecimento, durante um estágio de aquecimento, ou após deixar o trem de aquecimento; o ácido é adicionado em uma concentração de 0,2% a 12%, em peso, de ácido com base no peso da carga de alimentação inicial. Uma suspensão de carga de alimentação acidificada, aquecida, é assim produzida. A suspensão de carga de alimentação acidificada, aquecida, é escoada através de um reator de pré-tratamento, em uma temperatura de 1 60°C a 280°C, durante um tempo suficiente para aumentar a conversão de celulose na carga de alimentação para glicose, usando enzimas celulase. Após a suspensão deixar o reator de pré-tratamento, ela é resfriada usando dois, ou mais do que dois, estágios de vaporização instantânea em pressões sucessivamente mais baixas, sem aumentar a pressão de vapor após a vaporização instantânea. A energia de vapor, na ou próximo à pressão de vaporização instantânea, a partir de dois ou mais do que dois dos estágios de vaporização instantânea, é usada para aquecer a suspensão de carga de alimentação no trem de aquecimento.
