Abstract

"SISTEMA DE FORNECIMENTO DE MEDICAMENTOGASTROINTESTINAL DE LIBERAçãO TOTAL RETARDADA".Propõe-se um sistema de fornecimento gastrointestinal. O sistemacompreende um medicamento em combinação com um material denúcleo intumescível, sendo o núcleo envolvido por um material derevestimento insolúvel em água ou relativamente insolúvel emágua, no qual está engastado um material em partículas insolúvelem água. Quando o dispositivo de fornecimento penetra no tratogastrointestinal, o material em partículas absorve líquido formandodeste modo canais que interconectam o núcleo contendo omedicamento e a parte externa do dispositivo de fornecimento.Através destes canais o líquido penetra no núcleo que então seexpande até se romper o revestimento. Quando a integridade dorevestimento é destruída, o núcleo se desintegra imediatamente,liberando todo o medicamento ou a maior parte dele em um localespecífico. Controlando-se no dispositivo os parâmetros, tais comoo material do núcleo, o material do veículo no revestimento e omaterial em partículas, pode-se controlar acuradamente o local daliberação do medicamento. Deste modo, a invenção é tambémdirigida a um processo de emprego do dispositivo para o tratamentode doença pela liberação de medicamentos no tratogastrointestinal de um modo que depende de local e de tempo.
