Abstract
"CERMET TENDO UM LIGANTE COM PLASTICIDADE MELHORADA E MéTODO PARA A FABRICAçãO E USO DO MESMO". Cermets tendo um ligante de Co-Ni-Fe, um método para a fabricação e uso do mesmo são descritos. O ligante de Co-Ni-Fe compreende cerca de 40% em peso a 90% em peso de Co, o remanescente consistindo de Ni, Fe e impurezas incidentais. O ligante é único em que mesmo quando submetido a deformação plástica, ele substancialmente mantém sua estrutura cristalina de face centrada e evita transformações de fase induzidas por tensão ou solicitação. Registrado diferentemente, o ligante de Co-Ni-Fe exibe endurecimento por trabalho reduzido. Os cermets são usados como ferramentas para mineração e construção, para usinar materiais, e como um punção de cabeça de parafuso.
