Abstract

Disclosed are devices and methods for producing cored composite materials (sandwich structures) comprising at least one first and at least one second coating (1, 2), between which a core layer (central layer) (30) containing short-cut fibers (9) is arranged. Said devices and methods make it possible to produce in an essentially uninterrupted manner, resulting in relatively inexpensive composite materials. In addition, individual production parameters can be specifically modified by means of different embodiments such that composite materials which have the desired physical properties, e.g. regarding the firmness, stiffness, flexibility, mechanical and acoustic absorbing capacity, processability, etc. thereof as well as composite materials used for new applications can be produced in a relatively simple manner.
