Abstract

The ride has cabins (2) for persons circulating on a positionally fixed supporting structure (1). A rope drive (5) is connected to move the cabins about the supporting structure, where the rope drive includes a single closed-loop conveying rope. A deflecting device is disposed to fold the single closed-loop conveying rope into two rope loops engaging with the cabins. The cabins are connected with the conveying rope by way of a frictionally locking connection, where interconnectors connect the cabins to one another with a fixed spacing.
