Abstract
Se describe un método y aparato para controlar el proceso de flotación de menas de sulfuro que incluye la separación de minerales de sulfuro de la pirita en un medio alcalino creado por la cal. El método comprende medir el potencial de electrodo de molibdeno de una lechada acuosa de la mena y ajustar la adición de cal en base al potencial de electrodo de molibdeno medido para mantener el potencial de electrodo de molibdeno de la lechada en un rango predeterminado. El aparato comprende medios (6) para medir el potencial de electrodo de molibdeno y una unidad de control (7) para controlar la adición de cal a la lechada en base al potencial de electrodo de molibdeno medido de la lechada.
