Abstract
La presente se refiere a una celda electrolítica (1) para la obtencion de aluminio que consiste en: un cajon (2), por los menos un bloque catodico (6) colocado por lo menos en parte en el cajon (2), por lo menos un ánodo (11), suspendido sobre la celda y sumergido en la parte superior de la celda electrolítica, un aislante (3) que recubre por lo menos en parte la superficie interna del cajon (2) y situado entre el bloque catodico (6) y el cajon (2), el cajon y los elementos que contiene delimitando un crisol (10) destinado a contener un bano electrolítico en contacto con el bloque catodico (6) caracterizado porque el aislante (3) está compuesto por lo menos en parte de bloques (14) a base de carbono que presentan una conductividad térmica inferior a 1 W/m/K.
