Abstract
Un proceso para la extraccion de un metal precioso, tal como oro o plata, de un mineral o concentrado de sulfuro u otro material de origen que comprende someter el material de origen a oxidacion a presion para producir una suspension de oxidacion apresion. La suspension de oxidacion a presion es flameada en forma descendente a una temperatura y presion inferiores y luego se somete a una separacion líquido-solido para obtener una solucion de oxidacion a presion y un residuo solido que contieneel metal precioso. El residuo solido es luego sometido a cianuracion para extraer el metal precioso. La formacion de tiocianuro durante la cianuracion es minimizada o contrarrestada efectuando la cianuracion a una presion de oxigeno elevada y unperiodo de retencion reducido, tal como 30 a 90 minutos. También se proporciona un método para la reduccion de la formacion de cianuro de cobre durante la lixiviacion de la cianuracion.
