Abstract
La presente se refiere a un método para aumentar el rendimiento de plantas con preferencia al aumentar la actividad en un plástico de un polipéptido ETFu o un homologo del mismo. Uno de tales métodos comprende introducir en una planta un ácido nucleico EFTu o variantes del mismo. La presente además se refiere a plantas transgénicas que tienen introducidos en el mismo un ácido nucleico ETu o variantes del mismo, cuyas plantas tienen mayor rendimiento, en particular mayor rendimiento de semillas, con relacion a las correspondientes plantas de tipo silvestre. La presente además se refiere a constructos utiles en el método de la presente.
