Abstract

Análogos de feniletilamina utiles para el tratamiento del glaucoma. Reivindicacion 1: Uso de una composicion que comprende un portador farmacéuticamente aceptable y una cantidad farmacéuticamente efectiva de un compuesto de la formula (1) en donde R1 y R2 son independientemente H o alquilo C1-4; R3 y R4 son independientemente H, alquilo C1-4, o R3, R4 y el átomo de C al cual ellos están unidos pueden formar un anillo ciclopropilo; Y es H, alquilo C1-4, u OR5; R5 es H o alquilo C1-4; A y B son independientemente OH, alcoxi C1-3, OS(O)2W, OC(=O)W, u OC(=O)NW2W3; W es alquilo C1-4; W2 y W3 son independientemente H o alquilo C1-4; X es CH(OH)R6, C(=O)R6, (CH2)nZ, o (CH2)mZ'; R6 es alquilo C1-4, (CH2)m2SR8, o (CH2)m2OR8; n es 1-4; m es 2-4; m2 es 1-4; Z es OCF3, CN, S(O)n2R6, C(O)NR7R8, C(C=O)R6, CH(OH)R6, SO2NR7R8, NR6R9, CO2R6, S(O)n2CH2CH(OH)R6, S(O)n2CH2C(=O)R6, S(O)n2CH2CO2R6, S(O)n2CH2C(=O)NR7R8, arilo, heterociclilo, o heteroarilo; Z' es OH u OR6; n2 es 0 o 1; R7 es H, alquilo C1-4, OH, u OCH3; y R8 y R9 son independientemente H o alquilo C1-4, para disminuir y controlar la PIO normal o elevada. Reivindicacion 4: Uso de la reivindicacion 1 en donde la composicion es una composicion oftálmica administrada por vía topica y la cantidad farmacéuticamente efectiva del compuesto es 0,1-2% (p/v).
