Abstract

Un elemento triturador compuesto por un acero martensítico/austenítico que contiene por lo menos aproximadamente 40 por ciento en volumen de austenitaretenida, una parte de la cual es transformable en martensita bajo una carga de trabajo. Elacero tiene un contenido de aleacion suficiente como para que latemperatura de inicio y fin de la martensita sean lo suficientemente bajas a fin de permitir la transformacion parcial de austenita en martensita duranteel enfriamiento del acero en estado austenítico, pero dejando algo de austenita transformable retenida. Este acero es utilizado como un miembro triturador, entanto la austenita retenida se transforma en martensita por aplicacion de una carga de trabajo o abrasion del mismo durante el uso en un proceso detrituracion. El volumen exterior del miembro triturador que forma la superficie de desgaste y que contiene la austenita retenida en una cantidad de por lomenos 40% en volumen comprende como mínimo el 25% del volumen total de dicho miembro triturador.
