Abstract
Se revela un material resistente a la abrasion de una aleacion de fundicion gris de hierro con 0,30 al 0,70% de fosforo. La aleacion de hierro fundido dealto contenido de fosforo es tratada en caliente durante aproximadamente 120 minutos a una temperatura de austenizacion de aproximadamente 872sC (1600sF). Acontinuacion la aleacion es austemplada durante aproximadamente 180 minutos a (305sC), 580sF aproximadamente. La estructura resultante resistente a la abrasiones una ferrita acircular en austenia estable (ausferrita) con islas de esteadita, no contínua de aproximadamente 8 al 10% por volumen de dicha microestructuraausferrítica, que tiene una dureza de material de 280 a 330 BHN (numero de dureza Birnell).
