Abstract

Det er kjent at en elektrondonor sammen med en forbindelse av fireverdig titan på en magneslum- halogenidbærer er anvendelig dersom den er en mono- eller polyester av en umettet polykarboksylsyre hvori minst to karboksylgrupper er sammenføyet til tilstøt- ende karbonatomer som danner dobbeltbindinger. Det er nå observert at aktivitet og stereospesifisitet øker dersom minst et av de nevnte karbonatomene, eller et karbonatom sammenføyet dertil ved hjelp av en dob- beltbinding, er substitert med en hydrokarbongruppe inneholdende 1-20 karbonatomer. Malein- og fumar- syreestere substituert med den nevnte hydrokarbongrup- pen kan nevnes som eksempler.
