Abstract

Azasykloalkanderivater med Strukturformel I er selektive inhibitorer av stea- royl-koenzym A-delta-9-desaturase (SCD1) i forhold til andre kjente stearoyl-koenzym A-desaturaser. Forbindelsene ifølge den foreliggende oppfinnelse er anvendbare til forebyggelsen og behandlingen av tilstander relatert til unormal lipidsyntese og -metabolisme, inkludert hjerte- og karsykdom, slik som aterosklerose; overvekt; sukkersyke; nevrologisk sykdom; metabolsk syndrom; insulinresistens og leversteatose.
