Abstract

En fremgangsmåte ved forutsigelse av poretrykk omfatter at det oppnås en spenningsfølsomhetskoeffisient, det oppnås en kompresjonsbølgehastighet (P-bølgehastighet) og en skjærbølgehastighet (S-bølgehastighet) for et sted forut for boring og det oppnås et første forutsagt poretrykk. Videre omfatter fremgangsmåten at følgende utføres iterativt: En total spenningsverdi knyttet til stedet forut for boring beregnes ved å bruke det første forutsagte poretrykk knyttet til stedet forut for boring, og et andre forutsagt poretrykk knyttet til stedet forut for boring beregnes ved å bruke en spenning/trykk-forholdsligning, en spenning/hastighetsforholdsligning, spenningsfølsomhets-koeffisienten, et referansested og i det minste en valgt fra en gruppe bestående av P-bølgehastigheten og S-bølgehastigheten for stedet forut for boring, idet en boreoperasjon knyttet til stedet forut for boring justeres på grunnlag det andre forutsagte poretrykk.
