Abstract
Apparat for måling av hastigheten til partikler transportert av et fluid som strømmer gjennom et rør, omfattende minst én lyskilde koblet til to optiske fibere for generering av to separate lysstråler; et første middel i rørveggen for romming av fluidstrømmen innenfor røret og tillating at lysstrålene entrer innsiden av rørvolumet; et telesentrisk optisk leveringssystem med en enkelt åpning og en enkelt optisk akse som retter de to lysstrålene gjennom det første midlet i rørveggen, slik at strålene danner to fokalpunkter inne i røret innrettet ved den samme posisjonen innenfor rørets tverrsnitt men ved ulike punkter langs røraksen med en kjent avstand mellom dem; et andre middel i rørveggen, anbrakt på motsatt side av rørveggen i forhold til det første midlet i rørveggen, for romming av fluidstrømmen innenfor røret og tillater lys å slippe ut av innsiden av rørvolumet; minst ett lysmålingsdetektormiddel for detektering av lys som spres av partikler transportert i fluidet og konvertering av den tidsvarierende detekterte lysamplituden til et tilsvarende målingselektronikksignal; og et optisk oppsamlingssystem med en optisk akse som er vesentlig kolineær med den optiske aksen til det optiske leveringssystemet, som samler opp lys spredt av partiklene transportert i fluidstrømmen innenfor en første romvinkel motstående til fokalpunktene, og fokuserer dette lyset på lysmålingsdetektorene.
