Abstract

Conc. salt soln., e.g. brine is produced by injecting the liquid to be concentrated into the mass formed by the salt soln. and the dissolving salt particles, in such a manner that a strongly moving layer arises in the mass which extends in a sideways direction over the vessel, this moving layer forming the lower limit of the salt supply. The formation of salt cakes, esp. from fine salt particles, is completely avoided, so that highly concentrated salt soln. is more easily formed and discharged.
