Abstract
Se presenta un metodo y aparato para inspeccionar acusticamente un miembro tubular. En particular se presenta un metodo para inspeccionar tuberia enrollada utilizando ultrasonido. El metodo incluye poner en contacto un tubular con un material de acoplamiento, transmitir una senal acustica, recibir una senal acustica regresada y luego liberar el contacto del material de acoplamiento con el tubular. El metodo tiene aplicacion particular para determinar el espesor de pared de tuberia enrollada a medida que se esta desenrollando hacia un pozo de sondeo o enrollado en un carrete de tuberia enrollada.
