Abstract

Se describe un braguero toraco-lumbo-sacro formado de materiales flexibles, disenado para ajustarse a pacientes de formas y tamanos variables. El braguero comprende un soporte anterior y un soporte posterior, ambos elaborados de material de gancho y presilla y unidos mediante dos conjuntos de bandas de conexion. Las bandas de conexion comprenden una serie de bandas flexibles anexas a una banda comun y una banda rigida. Cada una de las bandas flexibles pasa a traves de una presilla anexa al soporte posterior. La banda comun es elaborada de un material de gancho y presilla. La banda comun puede ser sujetada al soporte anterior a cualquier angulo con el fin de apretar el braguero y ajustarlo a una variedad de tipos de cuerpos. La banda rigida pasa similarmente a traves de una presilla y es anexada al soporte anterior encima de la banda comun, minimizando mediante esto el movimiento lateral indeseable. El soporte anterior puede aceptar ademas una pluralidad de ferulas dimensionadas para ajustarse dentro de una pluralidad de cavidades localizadas sobre el lado frontal del soporte anterior. Estas ferulas proporcionan soporte adicional para el paciente. Se pueden anexar paneles laterales entre el soporte anterior y el soporte posterior para ampliar el braguero. Un soporte toracico lumbar puede ser anexado al soporte posterior, proporcionando soporte incrementado para la espalda superior de un paciente.
