Abstract

Espumas de polímero a base de polieterimidas (PEIs) cumplen las especificaciones legales demandadas por la industria de la aviación para interiores de aeronaves. Específicamente, las demandas sobre características del fuego, estabilidad a los medios y propiedades mecánicas constituyen un gran reto aquí. De acuerdo con la técnica anterior, las espumas de polímero adecuadas se producen como productos semiterminados. Reprocesar para dar artículos con forma es poco económico en términos de tiempo y explotación del material, por ejemplo en virtud de grandes cantidades de desperdicio de corte. La invención resuelve este problema en que el material que es adecuado en principio se puede procesar para dar molduras de espuma de partículas. Estas molduras se pueden producir sin reprocesar en tiempos de ciclo cortos y por lo tanto de manera económica. Además, esto da lugar a nuevos medios de integración funcional, por ejemplo mediante la incorporación directa de insertos, etc. en la espuma, y con respecto a la libertad en términos de diseño.
