Abstract
Se proveen métodos para mejorar la eficacia en el uso de nitrógeno, rendimiento, biomasa, tasa de crecimiento, vigor, contenido de aceite, rendimiento de la fibra, calidad de la fibra y/o tolerancia al estrés abiótico de la planta mediante la expresión dentro de la planta, de un polinucleótido exógeno que comprende una secuencia de ácido nucleico que es al menos 80% idéntica al NR ID DE SEC: 1-467, 785-3047; o un polinucleótido exógeno que codifica un polipéptido que es al menos 80% idéntico al NR ID DE SEC: 468-784, 3048-4333, 4335-4682. Además, también se provee un polinucleótido que comprende una secuencia de ácido nucleico seleccionada del grupo formado por los NRs ID DE SEC: 1-467, 785-3047, que pueden utilizarse para aumentar la eficacia en el uso de nitrógeno, rendimiento, biomasa, tasa de crecimiento, vigor, contenido de aceite, rendimiento de la fibra, calidad de la fibra y/o tolerancia al estrés abiótico de la planta.
