Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a nuevas esterasas, más particularmente, a variantes de esterasas que tienen mejor actividad que la esterasa de la SEQ ID NO: 1 y a los usos de las mismas para degradar materiales que contienen poliéster, tales como productos de plástico. Las esterasas de la invención son particularmente adecuadas para degradar poli(tereftalato de etileno) y materiales que contienen poli(tereftalato de etileno).
