Abstract
Se proveen un método para la manufactura de hierro fundido y un aparato para la manufactura de hierro fundido, mediante el cual un gas reformado es manufacturado usando un gas de hidrocarburo, mejorando mediante esto el poder reductor del hierro reducido en un horno de reducción. El método para la manufactura de hierro fundido comprende las etapas de: i) proveer gas de escape descargado de un horno reductor para transformar el mineral de hierro en hierro reducido; ii) proveer un gas mezclado en el cual otro gas de escape ramificado del gas de escape y un gas de hidrocarburo son mezclados; iii) reformar el gas mezclado para proveer un gas reformado y iv) mezclar el gas reformado con un gas reductor descargado de un horno de fusión/gasificación, que es conectado al horno reductor y recibe el hierro reducido a ser introducido al horno reductor.
