Abstract
La presente divulgación proporciona una composición antimicrobiana que incluye un compuesto que es un anfífilo biscatiónico o triscatiónico, y el método para elaborar tal composición antimicrobiana y el método para usar tal compuesto o composición para el uso antimicrobiano. La composición antimicrobiana puede incluir un compuesto que tiene la fórmula (I) donde R es un grupo metileno no sustituido u opcionalmente sustituido, s es un número entero en el intervalo de 1 a 6, R1, R2, R3 o R4 es H o un alquilo de 1 a 4 átomos de carbono no sustituido u opcionalmente sustituido, X es un halógeno, m y n son números enteros en el intervalo de 5 a 25, y m no es igual a n. Alternativamente, la composición antimicrobiana puede comprender un compuesto que tiene la fórmula (III) o (IV) donde R1, R2, R3, R4 R5, o R6 es H o un alquilo de 1 a 4 átomos de carbono no sustituido u opcionalmente sustituido, X o Y es un halógeno y m y n son números enteros en el intervalo de 5 a 25.
