Abstract

De acuerdo con la presente invención, se proporciona un método para lixiviar cinc a partir de una mena incrustada en carbonato, donde el método comprende las etapas de: aplicar una solución acuosa de un agente de curado a la mena incrustada en carbonato, mediante lo cual se produce una mena curada; formar una solución de lixiviación al aplicar una solución de amoniaco con un contenido de carbonato de amonio inferior a 5 g/L a la mena curada; producir una solución de lixiviación cargada; y pasar la solución de lixiviación cargada a un medio para recuperar el cinc.
