Abstract
Se proporcionan composiciones y métodos para modificar el genoma de una secuencia objetivo en el genoma de una planta o célula vegetal, sin incorporar un marcador transgénico seleccionable. Los métodos y composiciones usan un sistema polinucleótido guía/endonucleasa Cas para proporcionar un sistema eficaz para modificar o alterar sitios objetivo dentro del genoma de una planta, célula vegetal o semilla sin incorporar un marcador transgénico seleccionable. Una vez que se identifica un sitio objetivo genómico, puede emplearse una variedad de métodos para modificar aún más los sitios objetivo de manera que contengan una variedad de polinucleótidos de interés. Se describen, además, métodos de reproducción y métodos para seleccionar plantas con el uso de un sistema polinucleótido guía/endonucleasa Cas.
