Abstract

La presente invención está relacionada con un aditivo con propiedades biocidas a base de un agente activo con propiedades antimicrobianas y anti-incrustantes, en donde el aditivo corresponde a un material de soporte, sustrato o vehículo inerte, que ha sido modificado con agentes antimicrobianos. La invención describe además el método para modificar el material de soporte, sustrato o vehículo inerte, con agentes antimicrobianos. Los aditivos resultantes tienen una actividad biocida, y se pueden incorporar en diferentes matrices, tales como resinas poliméricas, ya sea naturales o sintéticos, termoplásticos o termoestables, recubrimientos orgánicos, cerámicas, pinturas, barnices y revestimientos, que otorgan actividad biocida a esas matrices.
