Abstract
Un reactor de purificación biológica y proceso, en donde el agua que será tratada y el gas oxigenado se envían en corrientes paralelas ascendentes en el mismo reactor que comprende, como un material de filtración biológica, un lecho empaquetado y un volumen de portadores huecos y móviles que tienen un área de superficie protegida para el crecimiento de la película microbiana. El reactor de purificación (1) comprende un espacio para la expansión y eliminación de lodo (2), un sistema de inyección de gas (4), un sistema de inyección de fluido (3), un filtro biológico que comprende un lecho empaquetado (5) de partículas retenidas en una parte interior de tal reactor mediante un techo de retención perforado (6) contra el desplazamiento ascendente, y un volumen de partículas móviles (10) situadas en el interior de tal espacio para la expansión y eliminación de lodo (2). Las partículas móviles tienen una densidad mayor que las partículas del lecho empaquetado. El método de purificación además comprende etapas periódicas de contralavado.
