Abstract

Un producto de acero o tira colada de acero, delgada compuesta de, en peso, menos de 0.25% de carbono, entre 0.20 y 2.0% de manganeso, entre 0.05 y 0.50% de silicio, menos de 0.01% de aluminio y al menos uno de los siguientes: niobio, entre 0.01% y 0.20% y vanadio entre 0.01% y 0.20%, y que tiene una microestructura de una mayor parte de bainita y ferrita acicular, y más de 70% de niobio y/o vanadio en solución sólida. El producto acero puede tener un aumento en la elongación y un aumento en el límite elástico después de cronoendurecimiento. El producto acero cronoendurecido puede tener partículas de carbonitruro de niobio con un tamaño de partícula promedio de 10 nanómetros y menos, y puede tener prácticamente ninguna partícula de carbonitruro de niobio mayor de 50 nm. El producto acero puede tener un límite elástico de al menos 380 MPa o una resistencia a la tracción de al menos 410 MPa, o ambos.
