Abstract
Un sistema de limpieza de gas, que es operativo para limpiar un gas de proceso que contiene dióxido de carbono y dióxido de azufre, comprende un sistema combinado de enfriamiento y limpieza (16), y un absorbente de CO2. El sistema combinado de enfriamiento y limpieza (16) comprende un primer dispositivo de contacto gas-líquido (50) situado corriente arriba del absorbente de CO2 y operativo para enfriar el gas de proceso mediante un líquido de enfriamiento, y para absorber en el líquido de enfriamiento dióxido de azufre del gas de proceso, de manera tal que se obtenga un líquido de enfriamiento que contiene sulfato. El sistema combinado de enfriamiento y limpieza (16) además comprende un segundo dispositivo de contacto gas-líquido (94) situado corriente abajo del absorbente de CO2 y operativo para retirar amoniaco del gas de proceso, que se ha tratado en el absorbente de CO2, por medio de llevar el gas de proceso que contiene amoniaco en contacto con el líquido de enfriamiento que contiene sulfato.
