Invenţia se referă la medicină, şi anume la boli infecţioase.Esenţa invenţiei constă în aceea că tratamentul hepatitei virale acute C include terapia simptomatică şi suplimentar administrarea remediului imunomodulator şi antiviral 5α-furostan-3β,22,26-triol-3-[O-β-galactopiranozil(1→2)-β-D-glucopiranozil(1→4)-β-D- galactopiranozid]-26-O-β-D-glucopiranozidului (pacovirin) timp de 10 zile, începând cu prima zi de manifestări clinice sau de spitalizare, câte 50 mg, de 3 ori pe zi, per os.
